Some Features of Ultraweak Photon Emission from Human Hand

We have studied on ultraweak photon emission (UPE) from living organisms. We report here some features of UPE from human hand. The intensity of UPE depended on the position of human hand, nail > tip of finger > palm. As the temperature declined, the intensity of UPE from palm decreased. As oxygen concentration around the palm was lowered, the intensity of UPE from the palm decreased. These results show UPE from the palm contains emissions based on oxidation reaction on skin surface. On the other hand, the temperature dependence of delayed luminescence was similar to usual phosphorescence. Namely the intensity of delayed luminescence decreased as the temperature declined. When we contacted the photomultiplier tube with the palm through mineral oil, the intensity of UPE increased twice as much, which indicates photon emission inside the skin certainly exists. The fact may be explained by refractive index matching.
